Human Food Safety
A significant battery of tests
were conducted to demonstrate the safety of flunixin meglumine residues
in human food. It was concluded that the liver is the target tissue and
an adequate withdrawal time is 4 days following intravenous injections
of 2.2 mg/kg for up to 3 days.
